Im watching it right now for the 1st time in about 5 years, and wow. Do people really act like this? How ridiculous is this show?! lol

I have a feeling that in the beginning the show was real but now it's just staged like pro wrestling because it got so popular. I guess it makes some people feel superior to all the creeps on the show, but if there are really that many scuzzy, ignorant, disgusting people out there to fill up the show day after day, I'd rather not know about it. I refuse to watch any more.

I'm guessing they act like this in Hicksville, USA, but otherwise, it's been known to put Southerners in a very badly stereotypical light, given the strong accents of the guests and all. It IS pretty classless. I prefer to watch Ellen (both are on at the same time on my TV.)

i used to find it funny. once u think about it, it's sad.
jerry springer could not be any happier by having these social misfits to earn himself millions. really isn't funny.
the other answerers say it is scripted, true, they do it to dramatize it even further but these problems most of the guests are having is real. u can't compare it to pro-wrestling.

I mean every girl takes off her bra, and smiles, as if she proved a point.
I once saw that guy that presents fear factor as a guest, he was a brother cheating with his brothers wife...LOL

Why are the 'guests' always unattractive, unintelligent, inarticulate, aggressive, and LOUD ??
