YES! I let my ice maker run 24/7 and make extra cubes in trays for the birds and the outdoor kitties in my neighborhood. I keep cold water out for everyone.

No bird bath around here.
I do, however, refill my dog's dish with ice cubes instead of water this time of year, so she has plenty of nice cool water to drink. And my rule is that when I get a drink for myself, I get one for her, too ;)
