In Britain, it is legal to marry first cousins, however, the Queen and Prince Philip are not so closely related. No Queen Sophia is sister of the exile King of Greece, who lives in London. Prince Philip had only four sisters all married German Princes. All four sisters are dead.

They are first cousins, once removed. Philip's father, Prince Andrew of Greece, was the brother of Sophia's grandfather, King Constantine I.
