The blower runs fine, I can feel the air through the vents. But the outside unit's fan does not run at all. I have tried looking online for answers, one site said something about a reset button. I would like to fix the problem myself if possible.

I agree with the first poster about the not trying to do to much to fix it yourself. If you are not a licenced contractor for HVAC equipment, you could void the warranty on the unit (assuming it still has warranty left).

Agree with the first two posters: If not just your reset tripped then your contactor or starting capacitor or the fan itself. Fans are bad about siezing up due to being out in the weather. Either way unless you are fimiliar with HVAC it is best to call an air conditioning service man.

Start with the easy solutions first....check the circuit breaker-check the thermostat-check the low voltage wires by the condenser (weed eaters cut these often).

If all these check out it most likely will be a bad fan motor or a bad or sticking contactor inside the condenser.

My first guess would be a burnt out fan motor on the condensor unit outside. Check circuit breaker also. But most likely the burnt out motor.

First thing I would do is check the breaker to make sure it hasn't been switched off. I'd also check the thermostat cable make sure its still connected and hasn't been knocked loose (by the weedeater, stray dog or something.) After that I would have a professional look at it.
