I have a 2002 Impala also you must reset it through the radio ignition on not running radio off push and hold down the display button on the radio then you will see what comes up use your arrow button to oil life then next button it will ask if you want to reset so do it very simple

The oil life is reset by the RDS radio.Please stop by your local chevy dealership.The service dept will show you how to do this and other things that can be done by your RDS radio.Hope this helps.
