I think you have to have a 360 to use a pic as your avatar, which is why I didnt go for anything more interesting ....love the picture by the way....

Your camera should have a cable that plugs into a USB port or a memory card that goes in to your computer. Save it on your computer then make a Yahoo 360 upload it to your 360 and set as primary picture. Go to edit settings on your yahoo answers profile a use your yahoo 360 picture.

Save it to your My Pictures folder. When you change your avatar, just hit Browse, go to the My Pictures folder and click on your pic

you have to put the pic in your pictures folder on your PC, (either by hooking up your camera with a USB or Firewire cord or if you have a card reader, you can use that)
Once its on your computer you'll have to put upload it into your 360 account and choose it as your primary picture.

how to get the pic on the pc is clear by now, but to use it in yahoo avatar, I think it mustn't be larger than 250kb. so, your pic might be too large, if so, then you also need to resize first. then you can upload to use it as your avatar.

iam pretty sure you plug in cam download to laptop then go to avatar and upload it.
