Most important is to not let it dry! However, not always possible - run stain under a tap until article is really wet - apply a little detergent to stain to loosen it. Put in washing machine with usual washing agent. If it hasn't come out do not let it dry - repeat procedure as above. May I ask - blood on a clown suit!!!???? Some party!

Soap and cold water. Don't dry it if it doesn't clean as the dryer sets the stain in. I use Tide & make a paste & scrub with a toothbrush.
