for a guy
never to old
for a girl, well the body kind of makes you stop somewhere around 55- 60 the most...but wasn't there just a lady near 65 years old who had a baby..
and of course you HAVE to think about taking care of the baby, the older you are the less patience you have!
good luck

I think anything over 40 is too old. But I would say 35 is the limit.

I wouldn't have one after about 37. I used to say 35, but times have changed and it's safer to have babies when you're older. But I wouldn't want to be retired when my kid turned 18. It's more of an age difference than a safety issue for me.

40. In child dev. class we learned that if you have a baby after you're 35 that the risks of birth deformities and other diseases increases significantly.
When you reach 40 the risks jump even more. And the chance of miscarriage is extremely high.

Physically speaking a woman can have a child as long as she has her monthly period. Some stop as early as 45 and others have gone to 60 years of age. Personally speaking I would not like to see it beyond 45 years of age due to an hardness of labor and pain .

It become problematical beginning in your late thirties. There's more risk to the infant. But with medical advances and weird science, there are women having babies in their 60s. That's not natural.

i think it is up to the individual, but think about it this way: you go past your early to mid 30's, and your child will look more like a grand-child, as he/she gets older! also, there is a greater possibility of one or both parents dying while their child is still fairly young, which is not a nice thing to put them through!
