We change as time goes by, aiming for our visions of perfection. Yet, deep inside, we're still the same. Is that true?

It depends on the person.
Some people say people don't change and that is true for some people. But others do change. Which is difficult and it requires an open mind to new ideas and ways of thinking.

As we grow older, we mature, we often change our points of view regarding different subjects. Same as our visions of perfection, it's our habits of actually achieving that perfection doesn't seem to change...that's why somehow we're still the same

No, I don't think that's true at all. If deep down inside we always remain the same, how meaningful can any change we make to our lives be? I think people do change to their core...not always, and not frequently, but profoundly when they do.
