The [ act the same as (, but when you have alot its easier to differentiate rather than having ((( or whatever.
so you would do the 15-7 = 8, multiply by the 8 for 64. Then do the 4*3 = 12, and subtract that from the 64. Then multiply that result by 10.

Work from the inside out, treating them like another pair of partentheses. Your problem is no different from
10 (8 (15-7) - (4*3)).
So Taking the innner most terms gives us
10 [ 8(8) - 12], which gives us 10 [ 64 - 12], which you can do from there.
By the way, the "[ ]" symbols are themselves called brackets. "( )" are parentheses. "{ }" are braces.

pretty much to separate what you put there
first parentheses then the brackets....
(15-7)= ? - (4 x 3) = ? then subtract the two answers ? - ? = ?
then you would have 10[8(?)] < go inside the brackets and multiply your answer by 8 and then multiply by 10 and you have your final answer.

Mistake in terminology. A parenthesis is what is contained within standing brackets. The standing brackets, whether (,[, or {, are not parentheses.
Subtract 12 from 8, multiply that difference by 8, then multiply that product by 10.

first, you do 15-7 in the parentheses and 4x3 in the parentheses.
Then, you multiply 8 by 8 (from the 15-7) and subtract 12 (from 4x3) from 64 (from the 8x8)
After that , you multiply the difference and multiply it by ten

Replace what is inside ( ) or [ ] with a number and then continue to evaluate.

OK first you do parentheses then minis them then i think you do the answer of that and minis 8 from it. then that answer minis 10.if this doesn't give you an answer im sorry.
