I am satisfied when I look in the mirror but not in photographs. Everyone I know also has the same perception.

In a mirror, your image is the reverse of the way most people see you. A photograph represents the way other people see you. You get accustomed to the reversed mirror image so the actual way you look to other people looks funny to you.

The photograph is taken from a different angle, perhaps? You normally do not get to see much of your profile when you look at yourself in the mirror.
And unless you have a full length mirror at home, you normally do not get to see all of yourself in perspective at once, like in a photograph.

hmm good question i think its because even if ppl look good in the mirror its realli the opposite of how they look in real life, thus the photo shows how they realli look and not the mirror image. okay yea idk if that made sense. here is a site where someone pretty much asks the same question and gets alot of answers. some are crap answers but some are good ( i think i saw one by a professional photographer too)

I know most people feel the same way. Just don't take it too seriously or beat yourself up about it. It's just a picture. Don't worry and just have fun in "real life."

I feel the same way. I look in the mirror and I'm fine, take a pic and...ew.
It's just because camera's change lighting and other **** so you don't look the same. its gay....

Pictures force us to see the real us. Unfortunately we can lie to ourselves but the camera never lies.
