I already had a dual video card in my computer and have used it now for over a year. Well, I had to recover my computer and now I have to set it up again. I know that I have to go into the control panel but I can't figure it out from there. I called Best Buy Geek Squad but they want to charge me money. Can anyone help me?

if you know the type of card and plugin like agp, etc you can google that and try to download your drivers.

First off, make sure the drivers for your card were properly detected when you set up your OS again. If not, you can start by re-installing them from the driver CD that came with your card. If you don't have it, then go to your manufacturer's website to download the driver file (just download it to your desktop for ease of use). Once you've installed the drivers, you can either do it from the software that came with the drivers or follow the instructions from the other answer about doing it from the Control Panel.

Go into your control panel (usually start -> control panel or start -> settings -> control panel) and double click the display icon. Then click on the settings tab. This tab will allow you to extend your desktop onto two monitors in different ways, granted that both monitors are detected. The best way to make sure they are detected is to shut down your computer, make sure both monitors are on and hooked up, and then start your computer. Then you can adjust the settings by identifying the monitors, extending, etc. Also, sometimes your graphics card has special settings when you click the advanced button in the settings tab.

We probably could help you if you told us what video card you were talking about.

Find out what video card you are talking about, then go to that companies website and download the drivers for it.

Install them and there you go.
