Heck if I know but it sure is sexy looking when they do that isn't it?

Haha, I love Tommy's answer because I do that all the time. It does often mean that I like a guy because the reason why I twirl my hair is to make the curl more prominent, which makes me look prettier. And if I like a guy, I want my hair to look good. It's also a nervous habit, so it's also usually around a guy I'm nervous around (not necessarily a bad thing). I don't know if other girls think like this too or if they play with their hair for the same reason, but I hope my logic somehow helped! :)

I play with my hair because I'm always afraid it looks messy and keep pushing it out of my face. Heh maybe that's why my friend avoided me all last week.
But it's true for some people, they automatically move their hand to their head and twist their hair to release their 'nervousness' through an action. Just make sure you can tell the difference between casual hair play and the flirty one.

It means they play with their hair. It could mean they are nervous or just like to play with their hair.

Flipping hair or checking make up is a sign that she wants to look good for you. Twisting her hair could mean that she is nervous. Scratching her head means she is undecided.
Take the whole package into consideration. If she is giving you a "hooded" look, playing with her hair, coy little looks, hey she likes you!

Bra, listen up. It's not all kind of ways that you see girls act, you think that they like you. are you okay? You that desperate for a girl? You need to chill out. I play with my hair all the time that doesn't mean I like you. ( even though I don't know you.)

This was written in some book and has become a fad thought. But very often it is just a bad habit happening most of the time by a girl who is very concioous of her hair.

If I play with my hair it means I am playing with my hair, nothing more, nothing less.

It depends where the hair is situated, up above, down below, or resting on the dressing table.
If it`s the latter, just say goodbye and sod off.
