If someone asks you for the truth and then gets angry at you for telling the truth as you understand it, you are both confused. The person asking for the truth actually wanted you to tell them what they wanted to hear, truth or not. You gave that person your best understanding of the truth, not understanding that they really just wanted validation for their own understanding of the truth as they percieve it.
One of the hardest things in communicating with others is to be able to tell the difference between a reasonable person who is asking for the truth with a clear and open mind and an unreasonable dildo who only wants you to parrot back to them what they already believe to be true. When dealing with the latter you are almost always screwed unless you have been around the idiot long enough to know what to say to placate him/her.
Good luck! (Sounds like you need it!!)

No its because the person who accuses people who tell the truth are stupid and have a limited viewpoint. Its like if you talk evolution to a religion guy they will say your evil or something, where do you get off telling someone that what they believe in is evil? Your just stupid.
Or when some religion guy tells religion to a scientist and they say their stupid and wrong, likewise where do they come off telling them that what they believe in is useless? There just being jerks.
I say speak the truth if they ask a question, if they accuse you then say "If you dont want a honest answer then dont ask questions."

If you think racism is the truth, then yes, no one wants to hear it. Racism is never the truth.
A lot of people use generalizations and accuse an entire group of doing something, that they've only seen true for one portion of the race/gender.
People are individuals. Judge people seperately and you won't get the backlash you are probably receving.
Other than that, I love the truth, and only post questions that I really want the answer to. I use don't post detail unless, I have forgotten to mention something. I don't use this a flame board, or a forum.

i dont know if its considered racist,(depends on the situation) but i think a lot of the time people ask ?'s to get people to agree with them, instead of getting a real honest answer. people want agreeance not opposition because they dont like to be wrong. Everyone wants to be right all the time but i think it takes a strong, self assured person to accept the truth and admit when they are wrong. I think as far as speaking the truth goes, you should always be honest but never to intentionally hurt someones feelings. But if they asked, then what are you supposed to do, lie? if you ask a question be prepared for an honest answer even if it's harsh, and if you arent looking for the truth then ask your mommy.

RACISM is believing that a particular RACE is superior to another, making other races inferior - FACT - there are more black basketball players in the NBA than whites. Is that a racist comment? NO - BUT, if you said - there are more black players because the white guys aren't as good, THEN it becomes a racist comment. Only insecure people flip out at the truth IF it really is the truth.

Who's version of the truth ? Truth to one person is not truth to another. Since you mention racist, I suspect some mean slurs that have nothing to do with truth.

In general, people don't like having a mirror held up to them for their own inspection. Deep down, they know the answer, and they are uncomfortable with the truth.

People ONLY like the truth when it supports and benefits them.
Ever wonder why the ONLY people who complain about IQ tests are those who test poorly?
