does guild wars have a monthly fee?

i was gona buy wow bt realizd it had a monthly fee. i heard dis wz similar? does it have a monthly fee? is it worth buying? r things lyk night fall and faction expansion packs or can i jus buy them without the original guild wars?
plz hlp!

my m8 plays guild wars all the time he says theres no fees so get the original first then expansion so you no all thats going on.

There are no monthly fees. Nightfall and Factions are not expansion packs. They are standalone games and you can buy any of the games to start.
