Lehman Ford Diesel - The engine is running a little warm (180 to 190) and I noticed that coolant is coming out of the cap on the coolant tank (or the overflow I think they called it) should i just replace the cap? does this explain the engine running warm, any other suggestions?

Replacing the cap may be a cheap first try. Look at the rubber if it cracked. It not an often problem, but, it does happen not allowing the system to pressurize. Then you may want to check your Water Pump? Be sure it working proper.

"OK" here goes 1. how much water is in header tank/expansion tank it should be about 1/2 full 2. how old is radiator cap?? by all means replace it it wont hurt. 3. when was the last time you cleaned out the mud box?4. also when was the last time the boat was slipped and had a hair cut and shave?? all this is good "house keeping"5.also check "ALL"inlet/outlet below water line. good reason to learn how to swim and get friendly with your boat... IT will love the attention and look after you when the **** hits the fan. neglect these small things and the next call will be for help.........IF your radio works

Your heat exchanger needs to be cleaned, or sea strainer full, pull the end caps off heat exchanger see if the zinks have pluged the cooling tubes,180=190 is 2 hot for a closed system 160. Good luck
