You bring up a great point. Cities are governed by Democrats. They thought their solution to inner city poverty was to tax the he** out of their productive citizens and businesses. What happened? Everyone left. Good intentions do not always give you good results.

The bad from this is that state and federal politicians now tax the he** out of us and turn around and pump millions into these poor urban areas thereby ensuring the cycle of their government dependence. We need a fresh look.

The NAACP lost too much credibility back when it suffered all those embezzlement scandals and many officials from that organization had to step down. As an entity, it never recovered.

Who exactly represents "black leadership"?

Notice that more blacks thus far favor Hillary over Obama. This is being pointed out to show that blacks are not as racially motivated as some would have others to believe. Race rarely plays a factor in their decisions of who to listen to.

Perhaps decades of prejudice police, judges, realtors, mortgage lenders and so forth has played more of a role than so-called "black" leadership.

edit: Ever hear of The Black Wallstreet?

Prejudiced people massacred a town (Tulsa Oklahoma) of prosperous blacks just because they were doing well.

I would like to hear from our African American neighbors to see what they have to say, perhaps they do find a use for the NAACP. As a white male I don't believe I can fully comprehend what a minority is thinking or what he/she thinks is valuable.

The credibility of their leadership has eroded severely since the death of MLK, Jr.

Those that have "lead" them have been silly, cartoon-like characters who are just looking for "face time" on TV.

It's a shame really.
