our gym teacher told us it wasn't....obviously saying that we HAD to go into the pool no matter what...
I'm just afraid i'm going to get it in a pool (since im going to a friends pool today) and i can just picture myself swimming and all this blood flowing everywhere...gross i know...but seriously!!
i don't weair tampons yet.....HELP!

If you do not wear a tampon, you should not go into the pool while on your period without one.
You won't see the blood coming out of you as it will be dispersed throughout the water, however it will run down your leg when you get out of the water.
Go and get the slenderest plastic applicator tampon and give it a go. After you get used to it you'll love them.

If you do not want to go into the pool or use a tampon, then don't. Your gym teacher cannot make you. The choice of protection you use is a personal chioce and no one can force you to use a tampon or swim during your period if you are not comfortable, if he tries then feel free to go and speak to a female teacher or adminstrator about it.
If you do decide to use a tampon, speak with your mom about it she can help. You also do not have to worry while using a tampon to swim, it will protect you just be sure to change it when you are done swimming.

Hi, a tampon would help, but if you don't wear one then I think its still okay. Unless you bleed super heavy nobody will notice, I went swimming like twice during my period when I was young and nobody new. When I came out of the pool I went to the restroom and put on a thin pad liner and then if I needed to go in again I took it off... But nobody will know since its just a trickle at a time and all that clorine...
