Parental bonding is very important to a child's future development. It helps the learn to trust. If a child does have diagnosable disabilities, it helps a great deal to begin working with the child early on. My son, now 11, began receiving occupational therapy shortly after 1 yr of age. He began speech therapy and physical therapy at 2 yrs. It has helped a lot. He has moderate autism which could have been worse without the early intervention.

Bonding and trust are very important in early childhood development. There are also factors of inherent traits; heredity, that play into development. When cared for and placed in a learning environment they adapt, experience and learn. Parents and teachers present such as care, support, encouragement and provide learning environments and this can be a positive or negative impact on development. Catch them being good is good advice.
