I was recently gifted a small dinosaur fossil in a rock matrix which unfortunately was damaged in transport. I was wondering the best type of product to use to make repairs? Thanks!!!

You can use a glue but make sure it is archival quality so it will not turn colours. Also make sure it won't dissolve anything you are working with. if you have a natural history museum nearby (or maybe not, just look up a website) you can call or email for tips.
