Do you do a search for the questions with no answers? Knowing that if you get the first answer in you have a great chance of getting the most best answer votes?
Do you even bother answering the questions with over 20-30 answers already?
What are your opinions about the "professionals" questions? Does ANYONE read 5,978 answers??
Do you agree that it is absurd how lazy people are to only read the first 2 or 3 answers?

I was simply taking a poll. I was curious. Believe me I don't spend a lot of time worrying about this.
I have just noticed that it seems most of the best answer votes are the top 1-3 responses. This doesn't necessarily mean the person who asked the question is too lazy to read all the responses. I mean the other people who read the q and a and then vote are the lazy ones.
I don't think I can explain anymore than I have. If you can't understand what I asked, I am pretty sure your answer wouldn't be very interesting either.

It's okay to rant...so rant away...
In answer to your questions..
1. No I do NOT search a question to see if there are no answers as yet. I don't think answering "first," gives you a greater chance of getting best answer.
2. Yes I will answer when there are alreadyover 20-30 answers.
3. The "professionals" questions really get on my nerves. You are right...I would not read over 5,000 answers and figure at that point, that MY answer doesn't mean squat.
4. I haven't noticed that there are people that only read the first 2 or 3 answers.

no i don't go back to the older questions only when i'm bored, and if the question is interesting to answer i will answer it regardless of the number of answers already there. and i would read the other answers of professionals questions if i have the time, if not only the ones showing on the page. have a great day too!

I don't search for questions with no answers. And yeah, I answer questions with a lot of answers already because it gives me 2 points. :) I'm not lazy and I read all the answers when it comes to picking best answer.

If I like the question I will answer it, I don't care about how many people have answered it, or if people read all the answers they get, I am not here for the points or to see if I can get to level 7. I am here because I want to have fun. If people don't read my answers or give me best answer points I don't care I am not going to lose sleep over it.

I'm new to Yahoo answers, but I'm finding that I answer only questions that I feel I actually have an intelligent answer too. I'm not here for points or credit... Just trying to help someone out that may really need advice, or to take the occasional silly survey to break the monotony at work :)

You're right. It's a rant and not a request for information. You shouldn't worry about what other people do. Just answer the questions that interest you, read answers where you think you'll learn something, and don't worry about whether or not other people do the same. Good luck.

Q3. I hate the proffesional questions. Most are a waste of time expecially the actors.

rarely I'll answer the Q's with no answers
I answer whatever question I want, no matter the amount of answers...
except for the celebrity questions which are a waste of time and ridiculous.
I didn't know people didn't read all of their answers. I always do. I love the answers I get.
