Is it safe to buy baby formula off eBay? Of course, assuming it's sealed and before expiration. My son was just switched to Alimentum and it's $$$$. Yes, I know breast is best. That's not an option right now. Leave it at that.

I wouldn't buy it for my baby, even when it's sealed. There are a lot of people hungry for money who wouldn't mind tamper the formula but there are always the mother who had some formula left from their own kids and would like to sell it to someone who could use it. You should always check the ratings of that seller, and ask why is she selling it, go with your gut if this is a deal that sounds too good to be true, be aware!!

It's up to you but I am not sure that I would do it. I would be leery of buying anything from ebay that you consume, especially for a newborn. Maybe find a seller and research their feedback. If other people have bought it from them and seem pleased, you might consider giving it a shot. However, with me being the paranoid worry-wart that I am, I might try to find other options first. Are there any assistance programs that can help you in your area, such as W.I.C? I'd make sure I'd exhausted all those options first. Good luck deciding!

My mom is bidding on some on ebay but they have to have high ratings and very good feedback because my 5 day old baby was switched to the alimentum when she was 2 days old. We bought one can to last until we got some cheaper off ebay. If they havent sold alot of things then dont buy it if they ave low ratings or bad feedback dont buy it

Personally, I'd be afraid to buy it off the internet. But as long as it's sealed and the person has a good rating, then I would think it should be okay. Maybe you could ask your Dr. if there's a cheaper kind you could switch him too?

I wouldnt. I would try a Costo or Sams Club to see if they carry it. You dont know where the person stored the formula IE: in excessive heat which can cause the formula to go bad. I just wouldnt trust people when it comes to feeding my son.

If the person has a high rating score, and it is sealed and everything.
I personally would be nervous about doing it, since someone could put something in it, but that could also happen everyday at a store.

I don't know that I would buy formula off the internet! But if you have to I would make sure you get it from a reputable supplier! I would prefer to go to my local grocery store and/or retail store! If you buy off the internet I would make sure you check with the BBB before you feed something youre unsure of to your presious bundle of joy!

I don't think it would be a problem, but make sure your shipping charges aren't so high that you really not saving money. A lot of sellers on ebay charge excessive S/H charges to increase thier profits.
