People are answering this question and don't even know what that processor is. It is NOT a Pentium D. The Pentium Dual Core is based off of the new Core architecture that the Core 2 Duos are, it is a budget version however meaning it has slower FSB and less cache. It is still however faster than a Pentium D, and much faster than a Celeron D.

yes that pentium d is 2 pentium 4s on a single socket. it has a much larger cache then that celeron. it would be a decent upgrade, if u cant upgrade to a new mobo with lga 775 socket so u can get a c2d.
