When we no longer have much of a choice because everything is owned by mega corps does capitalism still exist?

No, monopolies are not good for capitalism because they mean no competition.

A few megacorporations owning everyhing (technically an oligopoly) is also not a good thing, because each megacorp makes products that are no better or worse than any other.

Unfortunately, capitalism does tend towards megacorporation/oligopoly, which is why the government occasionally tries to limit mergers.

NO! Capitalism is good when people are allowed to stay small enough to compete, employ, and keep the prices competitive. Monopolies create greed and are dangerous.
