Here are some links to well-broke horses for sale in Illinois. You can contact the owners through Liverystable.net to ask more questions. Good luck!

All Around Mare for Trails and Showing-Well broke!

Old Blu Eyes Dun Gone, AKA Charm, is great both on trail and in the arena. In your pocket personality. Gets along great with all ages/genders of equines from small to enormous, she's always in the middle of the pecking order. She has NO vices and is 100% sound and sane. She is best suited for an advanced beginner-intermediate rider.

APHA PtHA Sorrel Overo Show Mare

Proven show mare with multiple ROM's in showmanship, western pleasure and halter! Super quiet and sane! Safe for a child or beginner. Minimal white overo. 4 white legs, bald face, belly spots and a white tail! Very flashy! Bathes, clips, loads. UTD on all shots and worming. Currently being shown until sold. This mare does not act like a mare. Very elegant looking and very sweet. Manners and temperment a 10!

You trainer should be able to find you a horse - that's what a show trainer does - they teach their students and they find them a suitable mount, and they go with you to look at the horse to help you decide. If your trainer is not able to help you with this standard, expected thing, then you should find yourself a different trainer before you jump up and buy a show horse.

Your trainer is responsible for finding you a horse that she thinks you would do good with... if she doesnt help in finding you a good, jumping and dressage horse you should find a different trainer.

If I were you I'd spend more time with the books than in the saddle...

And you sound like you can't afford to buy a decent horse - so how are you going to afford to care for one - which is in the neighborhood of several hundred dollars a month. Especially if you're planning on showing! Holy smokes.

I'd look into leasing instead.

If your trainer has told you you need a horse, it's your trainer's responsibility as a professional to help you find one.

If she isn't going to do that, find a better trainer. =\
