Is there a substitute to hard work/smart work?
Is there a way other than Lottery or rich parents?
Beg borrow or steal? None of them are good options.
Sheer laziness and wishful thinking will get you nowhere.
What have you got left? Your hands and legs and your freedom to think. Put them to good use.
Make money the old fashioned way - the only way - EARN. Yup, earn like those billions of people in the world do today.
Good luck to you.

Every way is equal. Becoming rich is not realistic for most people. Even if you did it doesn't equate to a better life. Just try to do well. As to how do you become prosperous? Take about one second and figure out the answer for yourself. Got it yet? Spend less than you make then save and invest the rest. Same rules apply to everyone. How hard was that?

There seems to be plenty of good suggestions and a few not so good ones already. I noticed you didnt say get rich fast. So I believe the best way to get rich is to live below your means and invest with a sound discipline. Basically spend less than what you make and invest the difference.

Follow the example of Levi Strauss
He built his business in the California gold rush
Not panning for gold like the crowd since most of the miners never got rich but selling a product to the miners that they needed.
Look where people are trying to get rich quick and fill a side need like Levi Strauss did.

1. Do what you really love to do,( and the money will come to you)
2. Learn about stock market( watch "the pursuit of happyness" and see how a question he(will smith's character) asked changed his life.)
3. Open your own business that you know that majority of people need( it could be a service, or a product)
But whatever one you choose, you should always have a plan, make a goal. From a long-term base to a short-term. Write what you would do everyday to get closer to getting rich.

Start your own business. Buy into a franchise. Invent - patent - and license an innovative product.
There is no such thing as get rich quick. Unless of course you inherit it.
However, it sounds cliche but do something you love. I later learned that meant you're going to have to work your $%&%$ off to get anything worthwhile and lasting so you better enjoy it - so it doesn't feel so much like work.
If you're self-employed - it may be awhile before you get paid.
But when payday comes it's HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Starting a business and being very successful, but that can be easier said than done. Most startup businesses don't make it.
Get a good education and a good job, then live below your means and put as much as possible into investments. You can end up normal-person-rich - OK, not Bill Gates rich, but who needs that?

The fastest way is to pick rich parents. If you didn't, like most of us, well, there is hard work.

I would have said work hard a year ago, but that still hasn't worked for me so now my answer is:
Surround yourself with success minded people.
