I chill out for a minute(usually with music), think it over, then go back to it and start from the top. If I still don't get it, I ask someone else. Then I learn until I do get it.
P.S.: same method can be used in life problems Ex breakup with a boyfriend or get in a fight with a friend or family member.

Well, I'm a drama queen, so I normally gasp in a very dramatic way as if I want to show whatever is confusing me very intensely that I am completely confused now by it. Then I would sigh and walk away to get my act together. I usually do not try to figure it out immediately, because I then get even more confused and then I would need another drama moment. I have come to realise that things that confuse me to that extend usually sort themselves out. Not always though!
The dramatic gasping is the release button and the stepping away is the cool down stage.

Completely confused to a degree considered pathological involves me being at a total loss of orientation, with no ability to place myself correctly in the world by time, location, and personal identity, Memory with no ability to correctly recall previous events or learn new materal. Confusion as such is not synonymous with my inability to focus attention, although my severe inability to focus attention causes, or greatly contributes to my confusion. Together, confusion and my inability to focus attention both of which affect my judgement and are the twin symptoms of my loss or lack of normal brain function.
In a nutshell I never get pi55ed just confused.
oh yeh where was I, so when I'm completely confused I open another bottle and enter the totalled out experience which I know sod all about.

I agree with all that said back up. Try to stop thinking about whatever is confusing you (not easy, I know!!), do something completely different. Try to relax and have some fun. Smile and laugh. And rest, and get some sleep. And enough water, and healthy food. Ah, and fresh air. :)

Hope you feel better soon!! :)

Take a step back to reanalyze the situation. If that still doesn't help then I just close my eyes and do a quick sort of meditation or prayer and calm myself down with some deep breaths slowly breathing in and out.

I'm trying to recall the last time I was completely confused..

It's not coming to me...maybe I'm confused right now and I don't know it.

I back up from whatever it is that's confused me and think it out at my own pace. I usually figure it out and I ask questions when I need to. Maybe I'm slow, but I get things done.

Stop and don't do anything until you can completely clear your mind. Once your mind is clear, start analyzing whatever it is piece by piece ... step by step ... until you can reach a conclusion. ♥
