I feel i can also. But also understand there are many, many people that arent as fortunate as you and I. You have people with debilitating medical and mental illnesses, You have large segments of the population that live in areas economically devistated by the local factories closing and jobs sent overseas, areas devastated by natural disaster, And children involved that are not responsible for their lot in life,

Do you really think they want to spend their money on them? No. They believe they are the robin hood of politics. Take from those with and pay those without. Those without are sitting at home pumping out a kid every 9 months, those idiots too lazy to get a job. The morons who think the government is responsible for their well being.
I wish I could see the numbers we dish out to people who are able to work, but rather collect a check and have us pay for them to support their habits.

What facet are you talking about?
War? The Republicans spend your money on war. About $12 billion a month, in fact.
Health? You're already paying. Paying too much infact. We just believe that money could be spent on a health system that works for you and not the health insurance companies.
You'd pay less for Universal Health Care than you do now, and it would save your company millions of dollars which could be used any number of ways. They might even decide to pay you more...

They don't care about everybody.
If they did, they'd be happy that just about everybody who wants a job has one.
And don't give me "underemployed" - there is no data to support that, and everyone thinks he should run the company.
In the late 1970s economists started to point out that hey, the dollar you take from working people to funnel through a government bureaucracy and give 25 cents on the dollar six months later to someone who lost his job for ACME Widget Company, the people with jobs would have spent on widgets and invested in ACME, or at least deposited at the bank where ACME has a line of credit, and the guy wouldn't have lost his job to begin with. The programs for the jobless are funded with capital that would otherwise be used to create jobs!
In 1980 America decided to give those economists their opportunity to prove this theory correct.
And they've done so.
We now have a much greater proportion of the country in the workforce yet we have 1/3 the rate of inflation, 1/2 the rate of unemployment, much lower interest rates and good growth, as well as rising incomes and rising income mobility.
The economists were right, the politicians were wrong.
Who exactly is voting thumbs down on this???? You WANT higher unemployment and inflation??????

I agree which why any true conservative should support abortion and gay marriage because what goes on in the private lives of Americans is none of the US governments business. In addition a true conservative should reject any tax cut that isn't preceded by a radical cut in government spending and a significant reduction in the deficit.
Cutting taxes while increasing the deficit to make up the difference is a shell game and is basically dishonest.

Most liberal politicians are super rich, and either inherited the money or made it from dirty deals. So legislating welfare programs is a sort of "penance" for them. The Kennedys, Rockefellers, Clintons, Corzines, Pelosis, Kerrys, Feinsteins and Reids are all perfect examples.
That said, they scrupulously avoid paying high taxes themselves through loopholes and offshore hedge funds. For example, the John Kerry's tax rate is about 15% on income althought they are worth a billion. Yet a hard working person making $200K a year could have a marginal income tax rate nearly double that. Ironinc and hypocritical, but liberals are unruffled by that.

If you are unhappy with our government then consider Ron Paul. He's all about freedom and liberty, no income tax, less federal government power, more power to the individuals in states. Check him out!

The Government uses a very tiny portion on the "Social Sevices" piece of the pie. Your energy would be better spent on the graft, corruption and waste at the Pentagon.

your money? funny.. I didn't think it was still yours once the government got it.. but anyway.. how can we call ourselves the greatest nation on Earth if we can't find some balance between taking care of those in need and minding our own business.. it's out there.. and it's not one extreme or the other.

Reminds me of an RFK quote. When RFK was campaigning saying he was going to do this and that, some guy in the audience asked "And who's going to pay for all this Senator?" Without batting an eye, Kennedy replied "You are."
