They complain someone is trying to extort money from them, but don`t tell anyone how the money that has been donated to their limited company is being spent.

Sorry Carol, I respect the opposite view, even when it is wrong. I one thing I don`t do is violate people. That is why i am so annoyed about this. i have lost 4 valid questions because someone out there is petty minded and bitchy!

I know they earned good money as doctors but they aren't doctors any more are they. Still, their circumstances are now far more glamorous than when they lived in boring old Leicestershire. They now have an agreeable villa, funded by the Portuguese Tourist Board and they can spend pleasant days by their very own pool sipping agreeable drinks with their many friends and family members. I suppose they have to bestir themselves only to collect the
twins from the creche!

I agree with NANCY D , you can see what the thread is about so if you are fed up with the subject or find it boring dont bother reading it! You have a choice!
But i think it is a really good question as to why do they actually need all this money and what the hell thye are going to do with it? They seem to be saving it up for a rainy day at the mo beacuse they dont appear to have actaully spend any of it to find their daughter which is what i thought everyone donated the cash for.

I'll give you much the same answer I did before.
Noone forces anyone to donate.
Noone who donates has an excuse for being unaware of the status of the fund as it is made clear on the website.
There is a regulatory framework for limited companies under which I believe financial reporting can be expected.
No company, or charity for that matter, reports financial information in real time so why should this one?

I think this is a perfectly legitimate question. Where IS the money going? OK, SOME people might be sick of McCann postings - BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO ANSWER THE FECKING QUESTIONS!!! No one is holding a gun to your head, are they. No, but it's a way to garner TWO WHOLE POINTS, isn't it?!!
Edit: Saribik - I don't think that there's any doubt that we ALL feel sorry for wee Maddie and hope that she'll be found. It's the attitude of the PARENTS that's causing problems.

I think it is a very good question.....people report others here cause they have nothing better to do, very immature imo. it's funny that they've lost a child because of their selfishness and carelessness yet they are treated like celebrities and members of the public (worldwide) are donating their hard earned cash to their account. they've certainly played the sympathy card well.

Extortion is acceptable if your surname is McCann...they have conned money out of the general public - none of it is being spent on finding Madeleine.

What are they on about? They scammed the public into giving money to help find Madeleine and it ended up funding themselves. They committed a crime themselves so they can't say very much.
