I've spent time in the US as well as communist Hungary, Switzerland and in my native Canada.

The US isn't everything that it's citizens like to believe it is. They should get out and explore more, beyond their borders.

I have lived in two other countries. I have lived in England and Spain. Though I am American, I enjoyed living in these other countries. Spain was layed back and not so stressful. The Siesta afternoon were great. Though everybody eats and go out late, because of their siestas. I enjoyed the "no worry" mentality of the Spanish. England was fun and they know how to enjoy a good time out; the humor in England is brilliant. They know how to have a laugh compared to Americans. I like the mentality of the English and Europeans. They know how to party and they are more liberal than Americans. Majority of America is conservative.

Yes. I am resident American, however I did live for a period of time in a European country. There are differences in everyday life, but they are not huge. Food, driving, entertainment can be different. People tend to be people no matter where you go.....most good, a few not so good. Living in Europe was generally positive, but home is still always home.

I lived in the Philippines and Ethiopia. They were both great in their own way, as is the US. The main thing I thought was better in each of them was how much more sociable people were, that they genuinely liked spending time with others (i.e. not running home and watching tv all night).
