Well the whole idea of going through the entire background is, when you get to F1 you would have all the necessary experience that could get you a place in a team. Every step is a learning process and this should help you to do better in F1 than directly going there from any driving school.

karting backgrounds arent necessary; however, it helps to get experience and it looks good to have karting wins when you need a team and/or sponsors. F1 drivers usually have many years of experience when they start, and since nowadays most drivers are relatively young, they have to go into karting to get experience without having to meet an age requirement like in cars.

no it will never happen, the car alone costs around 14 million,
the top 3 teams ferrari, mc laren, toyota, are running yearly budgets in the $450 million plus range, the corprate sponsors are spending in the $100 million range, they arent going to place all this that is at stake on a guy that hasnt proven he can win consistantly in some other series,
