I was wondering what this meant. I just finished my period a week ago. Are my chances increased now?

You should have read the pamphlet that came with your pills about what to do.

You've got breakthrough bleeding because you took all those hormones this morning.

If you are really worried, then talk to your doctor and use condoms for a week or two.

When you miss more than 2 pills, your body is told that it is time for another period. The pills you take for two days before your period are 'blanks'. So are 5 of the other pills if you are on the 28 day cycle pill pack. If you are on the 21 day cycle pack, then you know that on the third day after you finish you start your period. ..... Your chances of getting pregnant while you are on your period are low, but possible. What you need to do is use an alternative form of birth control for the next month and then after the next period you should be safe. Also, you should wait until this Sunday and then start a new pill pack. While it is not good for you, taking 3 pills at once will not harm you, contrary to what others have said. If you have questions, I would call your doctors office or planned parenthood and they will tell you what I did. The pill actually tells your body to pretend it is pregnant for 21 days every month. It keeps the body from ovulating. Then it tells it that you that the baby is no longer there, so it needs to clean out the system. So, because you did not ovulate, supposedly (accidents do happen) it is unlikely that you will get pregnant during this time.............but, the body will not have had the regular number of pills, so it may ovulate in the next 30 days. If you have questions, please ask.

You've got breakthrough bleeding going on. In the future, if you miss a birth control dose, take 2 at a time until you catch up, and use a backup method until you are through your cycle.

So, yes, your chances are higher of getting pregnant now than they would be if you had taken your pills as they are recommended.

This bleeding will probably run like a very light period. A couple of days and it'll go away, but it's not the best for your system to do this to yourself.

I would not advise taking 3 birth control pills as it could really mess up your system. If you are concerned about being pregnant because you missed a few days, take two one day and two the next. That is what my doctor told me when I first started taking birth control. Consult your OBGYN to find out more.

You cannot take 3 pills at once. If you cannot be more responsible with the pill then see your doc for a different type of birth control. You need to call your doc right away and find out what he wants you to do.

you should not ever take more than 2 in a given day. This has made you hormones go crazy. I would start a NEW pack on Sunday and set a timer on your cell phone so you don't forget to take it... this missing pills and messing with our hormones can effect you negetively in the future.
