Im a huge Star Wars geek so feel free to get crazy or technical.

Mine is in Empire when the Millenium Falcon does a U-turn to get Luke hanging upside down in Cloud City. Flips upside down over a cloud and then barrel rolls to flatten out. Dont know why but when I saw that as a kid I thought that was the coolest thing ever!!

Prequel for me is in Episode 1 (dont laugh) when Obi-Won comes out of those energy shields and unleashes like a 25 hit combo on Darth Maul. All 1 scene, no camera cuts, with no music or dialogue. Brilliant. ( The other 2 hours belong in the garbage ) Dont forget, U couldnt wait to go see this movie at one time !!! When I saw this part in the theater 16 years after Jedi I was floored( at first LOL )

Bonus Trivia: Why/how is the Millenium Falcon the fastest "hunk of junk in the galaxy"?

favorite origional moments:

a new hope- the death star assault seeing all of the x-wings open their s-foils and roll into action
empire strikes back- seeing the at-at walkers absolutely demolish all resistance in the battle of hoth
return of the jedi- final duel between vader and luke watching luke almost turn as he batters vader mercilessly and then cuts off his hand

favorite prequel moments:

phantom menace- (this movie serves a purpose many people hate this movie but i disagree. if you realize that star wars is a story of anakin's life, then this movie becomes like the first few chapters of a book, it introduces the main characters and sets the stage for the rest of the book. it may not have been epic, but it is just an opening very few stories have as compelling an opening as the rest of the story is.)
fav moment- watching darth maul take on both qui-gon and obi-won at the same time and just dominate them with his staff saber
attack of the clones- seeing mace windu charge jango and decapitate him then looking to count dooku and to jango's head with that "did YOU just see that dooku?" look on his face. that was awesome.
revenge of the sith- (and i know this is cold and a little sick)
seeing the look on vader's face as the younglings ask him what they will do against the invaders at the academy and having him ignite his lightsaber. (it just shows how far gone he is at that moment, and showing that was what makes you truly fear vader and his power.)

as a side note any of yoda's saber battles rock and they tie the fav's but didnt want to list the same thing over and over.

bonus: "you've never heard of the millenium falcon, it's the ship that made the kessel run in less than 12 parsecs. i've outrun imperial starships, not the local bulk cruisers mind you, i'm talking about the big corellian ships. she's fast enough for you old man, whats the cargo?" han to obi-wan.

Original: Vader's wingman crashes into the wall of the Death Star trench, prompting Vader to say "WHAT?" and start looking around. And then there's the Millenium Falcon diving right down on him!

Prequel: The Obi-Wan vs. Anakin fight, when they're on the catwalk, their sabers clash, and a fountain of lava rises in the background. The music really adds to the moment ... it has almost an apocolyptic feel to it ... saying "no matter what happens, this is the end, the final confrontation, the final showdown."

I have to agree with you about Obi-Wan vs. Maul being the best moment in Phantom Menace, though. But for me, the pod race was also right up there!

The Falcon made the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs. ;) (Which is actually a measurement of distance, but that was explained later in the EU I believe).

PT: My favorite scene was the Jango/Obi-Wan fight on Kamino in AOTC. I'm very much a Fett/Mando fan, so it was awesome to see a Mando in action!!
The Darth Maul/ Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon fight was just as awesome. I wish to have seen more of Maul fighting--he was just intriguing with his twists and double-bladed lightsaber.

OT: Tatooine, Luke looking out at the twin sunset. The music playing was perfect and really set the mood. The lighting/colors was just beautiful. A very peaceful moment--the calm before the storm of what he was about to experience.
I like any scene in the OT with Boba in it, but his last scene in ROTJ is almost too painful to watch LOL

I was too young for the whole Star Wars thing to really get into it. I know there are some hardcore Star Wars geeks out there my age too... but my favorite trilogy is the Matrix Trilogy.

I liked all of them, but my favorite was the first one. I didn't expect there to be a trilogy. But I was excited when the Matrix Reloaded came out. Back in 1999 I couldn't believe that someone made a movie about how unreal this world really is. I was amazed by not only the technology the film used, but by the entire plot. I love the Matrix. Although the last film, the Matrix Revolutions made me sad, I was glad that the there were 3 matrix films for me to enjoy.

My favorite part in "Star Wars III" is when Skywalker turns into Darth Vader. I like the end of "Return of the Jedi". The old one with the cool song. Not the reissue. I like Star Wars, but I am not one that knows all of the ends and outs of it. I just like to be entertained.

When Vader says I find your lack of faith disturbing And that dudes face as he is being choked.
New ones...Jango chasing Obi Wan thru asteroids & those sonic bombs he drops sound so cool. I turn up the volume all the way.
Bonus: It made the Kessel run in 16 parsecs.
