Meanwhile in Baghdad, witnesses say U.S. forces shot dead six Iraqi civilians in a raid on the Shia area of Sadr City. Two brothers aged eleven and fifteen years-old are believed among the dead.

Sadr City resident Abu Haider: "We do not know why they were killed by the Americans. We do not know the reasons behind attacking those poor innocent men who worked to earntheir livings. Islam and Christianity can not accept this!"

That's what I'm saying! I posted a question about how many Iraqi children were killed by this war so far, and I had people telling me that they deserve it because they are all terrorists and suicide bombers. Come on! Have some respect and empathy for these people's lives which are just as valuable as anyones life. This war is seriously getting us no where and already hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians have died and thats not acceptable. Killing for Killing is never acceptable and the U.S is basically the biggest dictator and terrorist if they support this idea. I believe the troops should be sent home now. They have no idea why they are there and are dying for a lost cause which is war. Leave Iraq and its people alone. US government has caused enough harm and violence. Not to mention those scumbag 'soldiers' who randomly rape and kill innocent Iraqi's should rot in h@!l and have NO right to call themselves soldiers. That part of the news is never shown, huh? They are just as bad as a terrorist.

I cant believe some people say "well...thats war for ya, people die, you gotta accept it" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! There is no excuse for war...NONE! So yes, the lives that are lost, even ONE life on an innocent person matters...EVERY-LIFE-MATTERS...AND NO LOSS OF INNOCENT LIFE IS ACCEPTABLE. NOT EVEN ONE!!! Where the heck is humanity?

War is hell is an old saying but still true. Why are you not asking about all the civilians killed by suicide bombers or car bombs. Those people are killing more civilians than the soldiers. Witnesses say they were shot. Witnesses say they were civilians. Do you have any proof other than the witnesses? Did it enter your mind that this might all be propaganda by the insurgents and these people were part of that.

Look, war is not pretty, innocent people die, civilians or friendly fires, mistakes are made, but the majority of casualties are enemies..we can't use this as a rant or excuse, these terrorists need to be stopped and yes cruel as it is even if some innocent people have to die, they are sacrificial lambs dying for the greater good, what is not tolerable is those who take pleasure in their deaths.

First, you need to learn the definition of genocide. The closest semblance of genocide in Iraq was when Saddam attacked Kurdish villages with chemical weapons.

Second, "eyewitness" accounts from Sadr City must be taken with a grain of salt. Reporting from this district is often skewed to encourage violence against coalition forces; quite similar to Hezbollah's propaganda campaign during their war with Israel last summer.

Thirst, consider your web-site, which is a breeding ground for left-wing mis-information and half-truths.

You cannot believe everything you hear. In a war, there will always be casualties. We do not know the soldiers side of this story.

All those are topics counter calling this a genocide. I do have to agree that such a loss of life is sad, but in the end, there are fewer casualties in this conflict then any other conflict of such a scale in history.

In the movie 'Saving Private Ryan', two American soldiers shot and killed two Germans who had surrendered....War is not pretty, but in the long run, if we stick with it, we will win this war.
