This world seems to be run by looks. Any wrestler is cosidered sexy to someone if they are in main event matches or constantly in the spotlight.

Being sexy has never had anything to do with being a great wrestler. In the 80's some balding muscleman with a spray on tan was the biggest thing in the world. He couldn't really wrestle, but he had the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand.
A lot of "fans" today don't watch wrestling to see wrestling. They watch to see hot guys/girls in tights and thats it. What you do in the ring no longer seems to count, just as long as you have a great look to you.

You're 100% right!
Even though I do talk about Randy being hot and blah blah blah....thats not the reason why I like him!
I like him because of his athleticsm, his talent, how entertaining he is and how good he plays his character!
I guess looks does count in some ways because we wouldn't want to look at wrestler's faces that look like Snitsky, right?
But it is called World WRESTLING Entertainment, so wrestling and entertainment is what it's all about!
It's not World Hottest Wrestler Entertainment (thats' the lamest thing I've ever said...LOL), so you are 110% right!

Well just because their sexy doesn't mean they are good. Most of the sexy wrestlers stink. But people do have to like what they see!

Ask Vinnie, as back in the 1980s both he and his sidekick Pat Patterson wanted their guys with the steroid-freak build and - in the 1990s - the female rejects from Larry Flynt. If you don't have their look, you aren't going to make the big money in the business & that is tragic.

it really doesn't have anything to do with being a great wrestler.....some of the greats weren't considered sexy.....some of the worst wrestlers are considered sexy so it really doesn't.......some people just think that if a wreslter is good looking than they must be good.....

it does matter with the girls and guys guys judge divas on hoow hot they are like some guys say stacy was the best diva ever... yeah right she sucked she never even won a title with girls we are like omg he is so sexy like john cena and jeff hardy and randy orton are very sexy but they are also very good wrestlers

It's entertainment that's why. Not cracking but does anyone really want to see Rikishi all the time? Good or bad looks it's all for entertainment. On the same note, you still have to train for the athletics of it.

Wrestling is Sport Entertainment. This means, like other forms of visual entertainment people want to see attractive peoples. How many rich and famous unnatractive movie stars can you name?
