I feel exactly the same way. I am 21, have a wonderful husband, I am 17 weeks pregnant with our first child, and we are thrilled. But I have been a mess for the past few weeks. I cry all the time, I am terribly depressed, and I have no reason as to why I feel this way. Yes, a lot of it is hormones, but honestly, I can't deal with this feeling for another 23 weeks. My advice is to talk to your OB (which is what I'm going to do at my appt. on Thursday) and then maybe seek out some counseling. I've been depressed before, and although before I was on antidepressants, I felt like just talking to a neutral person really helped me out. I wish you luck and hope that everything gets better for you!

Don't worry about it. It's the pregnancy hormones that is making you very emotional. I am 26 wks and cry easily at every lil thing that upsets me. It's normal for pregnant women to feel that way. You're not alone! Just try your best to cheer up. Don't make yourself feel depressed because it's not good for the baby and yourself. Just enjoy the pregnancy.

That is very normal...Having your first child can become suddenly overwhelming not to mention all the hormones flowing through your body. You should talk with your doctor about how youve been feeling also you could join an online group for expecting mothers, when I was pregnant that really helped me because there were alot of other women who were going through exactly what I was and feeling the same things. Just talk to someone about it, congrats on your new baby!

I went through the exact same thing towards the end of my pregnancy and after birth. I went to the doctor when my daughter was 6 months old and was diagnosed with post-natal depression. When I told him that I had been like this since 28 weeks he said that there is also such thing as pre-natal depression. So my reccommendation to you would be to talk to your doctor. Once you start talking it starts to lighten the load a little. Good luck!

I am also 21 weeks with a girl. You hormones are in overdrive. It is perfectly normal. The only time to feel concerned is if you feel like hurting yourself or others. It is very normal. Having your first child is a scary thing.

completly normal! you are having a lot of changes happen in your life right now...not only are you going to be a first time mom which can cause stress, self doubt, etc, but your hormones are raging!!!! i have had mornings where i don't want to get out of bed and then 2 hours later i am buzzing around the house or out with friends being a social butterfly...it is very normal to be emotional and stressed out right now...take it easy and don't get down on yourself! i found that when i am in a funk before i go to bed i write down one thing i want to do the following day so no matter what i feeli like , i have something planned to get me out and about...it has really helped me out! i am now in my 34th week and haven't had a "bad" day in abotu 5 weeks but my dr says that my hormones have leveled out....it won't last forever and will all be worth it once you hold your baby in your arms for the first time :)

You are just hormonal, but tell your doctor how you are feeling at your next check up. If you have a history of depression of a family history of pp depression you might want to talk to your doctor about it. If you are feeling up to it take a walk and drink plenty of water. Exercise helps to level off the hormones.

It's just your hormones working overtime. You're going to do and feel alot of strange things during pregnancy, and it's different for every woman, so don't get worried if someone else says they never experienced this. You'll get through it.

Yea, I felt like that often and I still do sometimes. I think its hormones and I have no idea when they stabilize again. Just let them do their stuff to make your baby. As long as you aren't thinking of hurting yourself or anyone else, don't worry, but if you are you should see your doctor.

Ah, welcome to pregnancy! It's your hormones, I knew a few people that would cry when their mail was late, or if they burnt their toast in the morning. Don't worry about it, take a breath and relax, you're gonna have a precious baby soon! Good luck!
