I like him because...
-- He is strong. It is easy for public leaders to follow the opinion polls; he works for what he believes in.
-- He is not afraid to champion unpopular causes that he believes in.
-- He does not talk down to people. His explanations are honest and thorough even when I do not agree.
-- He believes in God. It lets me trust him a little more.
-- He has good ideas on Social Security and Energy. I just wish Congress would cooperate.
-- He is basically honest. After the outright sleaze that preceded him, he has not disgraced the office.
-- He show respect to the military and first responders. The Clintons never wanted people in uniform around.
-- He has done a good job for the economy.
-- Other than Iraq, his foreign policy has been exemplary.
-- As Governor of Texas he was a strong proponent of alternative energy contrasted to Senator Kennedy who does not want windmills in his back yard.
-- He believes in law and order including the death penalty where necessary.

Bush has divided the nation and even his own party. A good leaders qualities include the ability to draw people together and to get them to work towards a common goal. I have yet to see Bush show any good leadership skills. If he were the president of the Bass Fishing club I am in, we would have thrown him out of office long ago. That is about as nice of a statement I can make about George W. Anything else I have to say would be filled with expletives and would not only be X-rated, but would get me kicked out of this forum.

Well, it's largely because of him that most people around the world don't like Americans ( I'm not American ). He comes across as someone who is not well educated ( education is not necessarily a college degree ), like the whole Iraq thing. I think he needs to mind his own business and stay out of other country's affairs. Everyone knows that he's not interested in his people, but in money. He seems just greedy.
Either way, what goes around, comes around- he'll get his day of judgment, and the price he'll pay will be for eternity.
Hope this answers your question.

He is not a good President. He is making progressively bad decisions as his term comes to an end, and I am afraid of what he will try to do next.
