The steroids are an easy thing to point to, but I think there were problems way beyond that. Benoit's wife had previously filed for divorce, and they apparently disagreed on how to deal with their child.
I'm sure the overuse of steroids could have pushed him over the edge, but there must have been existing deep-seated problems before that point.

He had an overdoes on steroids and he was taking way to many drugs at once.
