Due to an easy schedule, it would be a complete disappointment if they do not reach the playoffs. Carson Palmer will be fully recovered from that knee injury that occurred in the 2006 and the offense is pretty much the same from last year. Thanks to the Cincinnati Police for not having anything to do ever... the defense has some question marks, but Marvin Lewis can whip something up until the season starts. The first game is against the Ravens at Paul Brown Stadium and I don't think the Ravens will have the chemistry with Willis McGahee by then, so I'm guessing the Bengals will split the series with the Ravens. The only other teams on the schedule I can see the Bengals losing to are the Patriots, Chiefs, MAYBE the Titans (if the Madden curse has not happened by then), and MAYBE the Cardinals (b/c Leinart might have gotten better during the offseason and 'cause the former Steelers O coordinator is their head coach). With that said, the Bengals should make the playoffs with the AFC North title or the #5 seed wild card (one loss behind the Ravens). I expect, at least, an 11-5 record from the Bengals.

Bengals will win AFC North and go to SB, where they will beat the Saints. You can't keep Carson Palmer away from that SB ring forever. He is going to get one.
By the way, all the lame jail jokes are old and overdone. Get some originality already. It's also very disrespectful to the other 99% of the team who don't get in trouble. Most of these guys are gone now anyway. Henry is the only starter to get in serious trouble and he's paying his dues. I think great players like Carson, Chad, TJ, Rudi, etc. who do not get into trouble deserve more respect than that.

I see them as a 8-8-10-6 team next year. With many holes on the defense at LB and safety and DT, itll be tough for the Bengals to stop teams from running the football on them . Their offense is great, but the suspension of Chris Henry really hurt them, as he was a speed threat who caught 9 TDs last year, TJ Houshmanzedah and Chad Johnson will have to step up even more in his absense.
As long as Palmer stays healthy, the'll have a shot to make it to the playoffs. But it will be tough with teams like New England, Baltimore, San Diego and Indianapolis already punching their tickets to the playoffs, along with rising teams like the Jets and Broncos.

Behind the Steelers and Ravens the Bengals don't have a tenacious linebacker that can intimidate the quarterback. Once the Bengals get a good linebacking core they will become contenders.

I am leaning toward seeing the Bengals as second in their division and squeaking in as a wild card. They won't last beyond first round, though. It is not that they don't have talent. It's just that there are easily five teams in the AFC with much more.

i'm seein' them as a near playoff contender but i don't think they have the telent to make it even into the playoffs. they have too many question marks for me to say they are goin' to the playoffs. not bein' rude but they have alot of problems with the the law and injuries r alwayz a problem with every team in the NFL i think they r gonna lose too many ppl with the law and injuries to have anything left in the end of the season which is when they seem to struggle alot

They'll be battling with the Ravens all year to win their division, and in the end I think they'll win their division because they are hungrier after their season last year, but I think they'll lose to the Chargers or the Patriots in the playoffs.

in second behind the steelers.
steelers 11-5
bengals 10-6
ravens 8-8
browns 4-12
Just a guess... ravens n steelers might switch spots, but bengals will still be in 2nd of the division

I am thinking they make the playoffs but the first couple of games might be a little hard. I don't see them in the super bowl but a contender in the playoffs for sure.
