i think the 1st symptom is giving one or two word answers, then you start to receive 100 thumbs up for your monosyllabic answers, when you start to see your name mentioned everywhere you go you know you have 'JRS'!

Judas Rabbi Syndrome or JRS : is a common ailment that afflicts everyone at one time or another and for which there is no cure. Judas Rabbi will lay dormant until a question picks up his attention and he then will quickly and decisively answer completely catching the intended questioner off guard. The age or sex of the questioner makes no difference in determining where JRS will strike. JRS is often followed by amazement, awe, and wonder of why he picked his/hers question. LOL!

There is a member, 'Judas Rabbi', who has scored over 300000 points and answered more than 100000 questions. Now what are the features of this syndrome ? I reckon two : (1) a marked tendency to seek or gain points by (2) answering a phenomenal number of questions.

Whatever state of mind prompted a thumbs-down to this perfectly sensible and relevant answer presumably embodies another, as yet unnamed, syndrome.
