In the eyes of a child, I see the POTENTIAL for a BIGGGGGGGGGGG response!

It's narcissistic of me--or maybe just playful, but children make me want to perform for them, and I get so silly, and they laugh so much, and I love it!!!! Or I get spooky, and for a second they get scared, and in less than a second I take it all away, with "Just kidding" and a tickle, and all is well again.

Their eyes are kinda blank, like a tabula rasa waiting for something to cause an impression. AND I LOVE BEING THAT SOMETHING! I just love it. They sit on a swing. Nothing special, legs swaying, then you push, and all this life comes to be, as if it came right out of the insides of a star in the sky.

In the eyes of a child I see a DEMAND that I be a clown and a singer and a reader of books and a race car pal and an assistant painter and general cleaner-upper, and a wound soother, and a tears calmer and face-maker and raspberry maker; I see a team, and I LOVVVVVVVVVVVVE that, too. I see NEED that is open to my satisfying it, that can't wait for me to be there for it.

Yes, in the eyes of a child, what I see is incredible POTENTIAL.....(no hiding, what you see is what you get, and what you give is what you receive. Mmmmmm. It's so great!)

What do I see in the eyes of a Child? When I see a child's face my Heart melts, and I always ask the Lord to take care of this Fragile child that is starting to Live in a World of uncertainty. In a Child.s eyes you can see Innocence, confidence,Sincerity, and above all else trust.

Notice how a child’s eyes are large, but seemingly become smaller as the child grows? This is because the eyes do not grow as the other parts of the face do. In fact, the eyes stopped growing altogether as a baby reaches 3 months old!

Just a little trivia there for you. Now, to answer your question;

To me, a baby is born innocent and pure. They do not know how to judge, they do not have preconception of things around them, they feel no hatred, they do not deceive and they do not hide behind any pretension. When a baby looks at you, they look at you with absolute trust and coupled with an inherent curiosity that is a survival mechanism for them to continue growing intellectually and physically.

So when I look into those beguiling, trusting eyes of a child I see pure, untainted innocence. But what I really wish I could do, is to see FROM the eyes of a child and know how exactly it feels to have a pure heart that could only look at the world around me with simple and enthusiastic wonder. I want to fully appreciate the joys of discovery; a clump of mummy’s hair in the hand, the feel of grandma’s carpet under my knees….. I want to feel that complete sense of security as I lay snuggled in my father’s strong arms.

And I dearly want to have a glimpse out those windows into a world that is free from all cloudy preconceptions of what I know now of this world; outside that warm, soft cradle that a baby lies upon…

When I look in the eyes of a child, I see love for the simplest things in life such as the mud he sprayed on his jeans. I see joy just for the fact I gave him/her a second glance or a smile, as though just a little bit of attention every now and then is all he/she needs to know I am there for them. I see curiosity to find something to give them to look forward to, in which I have to watch out and make sure he/she will be safe. I also see, every once and a while, fear. Fear for what is going on in this world (stupid boogey monster) and if he/she will survive. Deep for a child, but they can take in as much as adults, only in different ways. After all, we're all children on the inside <3
They are just more innocent and feeble... more of which you can find in their eyes.

Hi,
I see trust. I see a bright new world that is yet to be explored, everything so fresh and exciting. I see love. I see the beauty of a soul that has yet to be tainted by life's harsh lessons and experiences. I see hope and expectation. I see potential and wish for that child a life that is full of happiness and joy though knowing in reality, the youthful sparkle I now see will eventually dim and be replaced by resignation and world-weariness.

With the eyes of a child
You must come out and see
That your world's spinning 'round
And through life you will be
A small part
Of a hope
Of a love
That exists
In the eyes of a child you will see

moody blues.... to our children's, children's, children....

Is it a kind of dream,
Floating out on the tide,
Following the river of death downstream?
Oh, is it a dream?

There's a fog along the horizon,
A strange glow in the sky.
And nobody seems to know where you go.
And what does it mean?
Oh, is it a dream?

Bright eyes,
Burning like fire.
Bright eyes,
How can you close and fail?
How can the light that burned so brightly
Suddenly burn so pale?
Bright eyes.

Is it a kind of shadow,
Reaching into the night,
Wandering over the hills unseen?
Or is it a dream?

There's a high wind in the trees,
A cold sound in the air.
And nobody ever knows when you go.
And where do you start,
Oh, into the dark?

Bright eyes,
Burning like fire.
Bright eyes,
How can you close and fail?
How can the light that burned so brightly
Suddenly burn so pale?
Bright eyes.

Bright eyes,
Burning like fire.
Bright eyes,
How can you close and fail?
How can the light that burned so brightly
Suddenly burn so pale?
Bright eyes.
