if that stranger was a hottie i would smile back. but if its some random guy, i would be so creeped out. It also depends on what kind of vibe you give off.

Depends...if the stranger seemed "normal" yes. If the stranger seemed "off" in any fashion, no.

...I usually give a half corner smile and a quick slight nod of the head and look away...it's acknowledging the look, but also saying don't bother me unless you're "worth it"

no i just stare at them with a blank look on my face so they feel stupid, get embarrassed and look away. i like to smile at random people (the saying is true...it does confuse them) but if they looked blankly at me that's ok because i don't get embarrassed, mostly they just look at me like i'm a weirdo (which i am!)
