You can pull it but safely? Look on the door an see if the towing capacity is that high.My self by the time you load all the goods and toy it will be another 1500lbs more.Your pushing the Cherokee way past it's limit the Control of steering & trans & over heating will be the issue.You need at least a 2500 or 3/4 ton pickup.there rated for 7000lbs+ Be safe it's a load your trying to pull & stop.

I"m Belkin, the automotive tester.
I really wish you left more info on your truck, is it a V-6 or V-8
Either way here you go.
V-6 Has been tested to pull 4268 pounds up hill down hill breaking resistance falls 43%
3669 pounds- Truck weight

V-8 Has been tested to pull 5700 pounds with gas engine and 7400 pounds with the Benz engine (diesel) Up hill and down hill with the breaking resistance at 49%
4052 pounds- Truck weight

If you have a towing package
and a V8 yes

By towing package I mean a hitch receiver class 4 or 5 and there should also be a external transmission cooler.

depends on the motor size and how far you are planning on going with said trailer. I would be careful if you plan on going through mountains or lots of hills.
