I want to know how this works in science and how it relates to Christianity.

Never heard of it, and Google searches reveal nothing. Sure you spelled it correctly?

I would suggest, though, that trying to relate science and religion is at best a questionable practice. Religion has a long history of refusing to believe legitimate scientific explanations of the universe.

The Fibonacci Series is a mathematical curiosity with practical applications. Briefly, it works like this: 1+2=3, 2+3=5, 3+5=8, 5+8=13, 8+13=21and so on giving the series 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13... This pattern is often observed in nature such as in the spiral arrangement of seeds in a sunflower and in the number of petals of a flower. For example, most daisies have 34, 55 or 89 petals, all Fibonacci numbers.

The Fibonacci Series came to popular attention in Dan Brown's novel, "The DaVinci Code", in which it is employed in constructing a secret code as part of the plot. This artfully contrived plot device may be the connection to Christianity to which you allude.

This pattern may also come up in the Creationism vs. Evolution debate. Such a regular pattern could be interpreted either as evidence of a "Great Mathematician" (God) or the result of a functional relationship among natural events that contribute to the overall theory of evolution.

I'm aware of no other way in which the series is connected to the Christian faith.

Fibonacci series?If this is what you mean ;then it relates to an additives series where the next number is the sum of the previous numbers.

fibonacci numbers series goes as follows;
1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,...
i.e. 1+1=2,1+2=3.2+3=5,...
it occurs in nature quite a lot (google it)
my guess for the christianity link would be in lineage;
1.Adam
,
1.Eve
,
2.Kane & Abel
,...(possibly.)
