I believe now that it's infinite backwards and backwards. Any1 heard of the new theory? the universe completes the big bang cycle every 1 trillion years. It's weird how that number is so whole and perfect. Just one trillion, amazing!

I don't think anything is outside our universe.

And I think our universe is about 1 trillion years old.
Bugt I don't think it will do another big bang.
Our universe is eternal and will keep expanding forever and ever.

We have room for everything in this great big universe.

No one knows how old the Universe is. Any suggested age you find is only theory.

The Universe is "everything that is out there". Because it is everything, there is nothing that is not within it. So there is no "outside" to it.

We do know that we can "see" objects out in space at distances of 40 Billion Light Years in all directions with our present level of technical equipment and optical/radio telescopes. So just the space that we can "see" is immense beyond anything that is comparable here on Earth. And, that is just what we can "see." It keeps right on going as far as we know, and there may be more unknown galaxies way on out there..

The number that you quoted is a rounded off approximation which was made to facilitate easy discussions with students and amateurs. It is not an "even" 1 Trillion Year Cycle. The technical discussions I read used a series of digits toward the end which was something like 58,771. I remember that because it was one digit of of my old telephone number a long time ago.

Ive heard everything from 12-20 billions years old. Nobody really knows the full extent of the universe. Ive read several theories about it. Space-time being curved so that the universe is infinate. Thats its expanding and one day may begin to contract...I believe that the universe has reached a point where gravity can no longer cause it to contract and it is infinately expanding although not in all directions. Anyone could be right and everyone could be wrong...the latter most likely.

Actually our universe is about 5 trillion years old.And the universe isn't infinite!I think Black Holes are some kind of portals to the next universe or dimension.Actually in the future, infinite will become a number and the universe will have an end.I know this for sure and

Common thinking has the universe at about 15 billion years old. There are competing theories of what caused the universe to come into existence, whether it be an act of God, the big bang or the"it jest wuz". Some scientists theorize there are other universes outside ours in sort of a spiral shape. The math is way beyond me. Check out Space.com for more info. The articles are pretty easy to read.

We can only measure time relative to the orbital of the earth around the Sun. so our time measurement are all relative that.
So how can we compare time when at the begining of creation there was no earth and sun roational time?
So anything that we assign to the exact age of the Universe is basically highly speculative.
The only way when can get an idea about the Universe and its time is from the WORD of our Creator which is outlined in first chapter of Genesis of the Holy Bible.
