no one seems to be bothered (unless there is a huge age difference). When a woman gets with a younger man she is called a cradel snatcher etc. Surely if two responsible adults are attracted to each other then there shouldn't be a problem. Why do we see age difference as such a bad thing. As surely people get into relatioships knowing the pro's and con's of having an age difference.
Also I wanted to know when do men and women start finding people in their own age group less attractive, and start going for older or younger people. Seriously help me with this question ????

Some older men seem to need an affirmation that they can still cut the mustard and persue younger women.
older women are very sensible to seek a younger man because he is likely to have staying power.

In seconary school when you start to get boyfriends and girlfriends then you see age as the most important thing. My friends older sister was a year 10 and she went out with a year 7 boy from a different school and everyone picked on her.
As you get older and more mature then you start to relise that age isn't everything. normally in a marrage the age difference isn't that big. I read in a magazine a while ago that a 16 year old girl married her friends grandad or dad (I can't remeber) who was 65.... I think that an age difference that big is a problem. My aunty and Uncle have 19 years difference between them which is quite alot but it doesn't bother them...

Funny you should ask that. I am a single women in my mid 50's. I have taken care of myself, I am stylish. I am easy to engage with. I put myself on one of those dating sites, with a couple pictures. I specifically put on there "looking for man my age"...as I would like a partner that is near retirement...kids all grown. Well, how many responses do you think I got from way younger men?? A LOT !! I don't want a younger man. Having said that...men my age LOOK older than what they are. They have been married since birth (lol) and they never thought they would be in the single field again...and for the most part...I understand why they are DIVORCED!! They have pot bellies and are looking to replace all the good things the ex did for them...the laundry, cooking, bills!! I am serious. So now I am thinking about dating a younger man!! For cryin' out loud!! I am going to watch these answers...because I want to know too...lol

There is nothing more fickle than human nature! Equlity should be the same whether the man or woman in younger. People can be very shallow so I would ignore them. Do what feels right for you. unless there is a huge gap i.e 20-30 years.....then the relationship would never work

i dont see what the problem is but i guess at first everyone has there honeymoon period and when reality steps in and responsibilities creep in the younger person can sometimes find it difficult to commit with them not being as mature as the other partner and with everyday difficulties them selves are hard work sometimes the age gap is another extra burden but all that aside lots do work out i think taking each day at a time works best rather then rushiong in

Well basically women usually want older men b/c then there is a chance that they will be mature. That doesn't happen, so as women age they realize they should date younger men, b/c they don't need viagra.
Stop worrying about what other people think and do what is right for you!!

People are looking for qualities in a partners and if they fit what they need then they will get together.
A woman is often looking for security found in an older man. A man is often looking for a potential mate for child rearing and this would be a young woman.

It probably is from the prejudice that man are less mature than women so if a woman goes for a man that is younger, it must be for the sex.

age is just a number.if u care 4 that person age doesn't matter.my husband is 11years younger than i am.if u worry what people think u may lose out on someone special.what does it matter if u r happy.
