My brother is cutting down his ash tree and sending me a chunk big enough to make one. I am taking woodshop at my high school next year.

There is a show which airs on PBS on Saturdays. I don't know the name of the show or the guy's name, but he has made a baseball bat and a lot of other things by turning them out. It's quite interesting, my boys like to watch this show.
