I have to agree with the question above. If you are expecting a Freemason to answer this question they won't. The rites of Freemasonry are so secret that only the initiated can even see the rites and none talk about them outside the lodge.

What I can say is that the rites invoke science and ideas that in the Middle Ages were thought to be mysterious due to the fact that Masons need to know complex things like Geometry and Physics and these were taught in the lodges. Also the Freemasons were just that Free Masons they lived outside church and secular control. The great Cathedrals couldn't have been built without them and they were the protectors of the old knowledge. So to a peasant they might seem to be on the edge and dangerous. Satanic. Remember that most of the founding fathers were Freemasons and if you look at the American Government money and buildings you will see Freemasonry symbols.

What proof do you have to make such an accusation?
