This is kind of embarassing to ask, but I really need help. Whenever I put a tampon in it hurts like crap, I don't understand why. I've done it plenty of times before, and now I can't, I can't even sit down when I put one in, because it hurts so much, it's like a really sharp pain/burn. Please help me!

Well, I don't think I have an STD, cause I've never had sex, and I do think that it's in all the way, not sure though, if I have an infection, is that serious??

Are you sure that it is in all the way? Usually there is pain if it isn't.

I have never heard a burning feeling though. Could you have an infection? Maybe you should go to a doctor if it keeps up.

You will need to visit your gynecologist for an evaluation. You will need a pelvic exam and likely tests for STDs.

Infections (STDs) or vaginal yeast infections can cause irritation. Similarly if there was any trauma in the form of a cut it could cause pain and discomfort.
