You DON'T.

The only things that have even slowed me down was total loss of my Net connection, and a major computer crash. This site is worse than Ecstasy.

Get away from it! Addiction is a terrible thing because it can take over and ruin your life. What you do to curb an addiction is:

Step away. Sign out of Answers and don't sign in for a while. Do something else that isn't on the computer to get your mind off of it. I always find exercising or hanging out with friends to work. If you need to be on the computer, then opt out of receiving answers via email, or don't even sign in to Yahoo! if you have to.

Other ways to contribute to stopping an addiction is to be healthy. Don't be on the computer for too long. Eat healthier as it has a direct impact on your thinking and mentality, studies have shown. Get out of the house; do something; drive somewhere; see something; ride a bike; walk; run; anything will work.

The best thing to do for an addiction is the complete opposite of what you are doing now, in a healthy and sane manner.

I'm afraid it's too late. Just like when you open a tub of Pringles it's impossible to stop once you've started. Fortunately it is possible to exhaust the amount of questions you can ask or answers you can answer if you're at the lower levels. Be strong!

Limit yourself to a strict amount of time (mine is no more than two hours a day) and stick to it. There is life outside yahoo.
